Madrid, 25 June 2024 – On 24 June, Jaime Albert Mendoza and María Casado Jiménez, representatives from AP Executive Search, the leading Spanish multinational in recruiting technical and executive profiles within the renewable energy sector, met with Daniel García Martínez, Provincial Councillor for Demographic Challenge and European Funds in Soria. The purpose of the meeting was to share insights, discuss collaboration opportunities, and explore ways to fight the demographic challenge while promoting socio-economic development linked to the energy transition and digital transformation of the region.

The meeting laid the foundations for a collaborative project through the #LocalGreenJobs platform, an initiative led by AP Executive Search aimed at partnering with energy development companies and local governments to implement renewable energy projects that foster socio-economic growth in communities.

This initial meeting established a starting point, as it allowed for the identification of Soria’s needs and discussions on various areas of collaboration, including decarbonization, reindustrialisation, green job creation, digital transformation, and innovation.

“We are open to exploring ways and areas of cooperation to ensure this initiative materialises and does not remain just words on paper,” stated Daniel García, emphasising the shared goal of turning this project into a tangible driver of socio-economic development in the province. The initiative aligns with the objectives of European funds in areas such as R&D&I, viticulture, renewable energy and new technologies, green hydrogen, resource recycling, public-private partnerships, and university collaborations, with a strong focus on vocational training.

This collaboration with the Soria Provincial Council represents a crucial milestone in sustainable development and the fight against depopulation. The province is not only rich in natural resources but also offers significant opportunities, making it possible to scale similar initiatives to those already implemented in Roa de Duero.
